Petition for Justice

The acquittal of George Zimmerman disturbs me enormously. Not so much for its abrasion of my sense of justice, but for the massive threat which that verdict represents to this nation's public safety. I am therefore hoping that you can assist me in the instigation of a proper response - one that will hopefully mitigate the civil damage that now promises to occur. I suggest that we put a public call out to support a Wrongful Death suit against George Zimmerman. Recall, if you can, the O.J. Simpson case, in which the man had been acquitted of murder. Yet in spite of his acquittal (in a case based entirely on circumstantial evidence) such a Wrongful Death suit was entirely successful. If a similar path is taken in this case, it may prove successful, since there is no question but that Zimmerman shot the young man. In fact, in such a case, the most damning factor (which was never even brought up in this murder trial) should virtually guarantee conviction - the question of "options". The important thing is, that a Wrongful Death conviction would go a long way toward discouraging others from assuming such lethal latitude.
So it is that I ask that you join me in not only supporting the Martin family- but making sure this travesty does not happen again to anyone.
